Rosewater and Almond Cookies~
Ingredients:
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour,
- 2 tablespoons of crushed almonds,
- ½ cup of granulated sugar,
- ¼ teaspoon of baking powder,
- ¼ cup of butter,
- 1 tablespoon of rose water,
- 3-4 drops of red food color.
Instructions:
- At first combine flour with the crushed almonds, sugar, and baking powder in a bowl.
- Mix the rose water with red food color in a small bowl and pour it over the flour mixture. Add the melted butter and mix until it resembles a coarse meal.
- Place a small amount of dough in your palm and place an almond inside. Make a dough ball by rolling it between your palms.
- Place them on a cookie sheet and bake in a preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes over 180-degree Celsius.
- Let them cool on a wire rack for a while, and roll them over a bed of icing sugar. Lastly serve and enjoy.
