Rosewater and Almond Cookies~



Ingredients:
  • 1 cup of all-purpose flour,
  • 2 tablespoons of crushed almonds,
  • ½ cup of granulated sugar,
  • ¼ teaspoon of baking powder,
  • ¼ cup of butter,
  • 1 tablespoon of rose water,
  • 3-4 drops of red food color.



Instructions:
  1. At first combine flour with the crushed almonds, sugar, and baking powder in a bowl.
  2. Mix the rose water with red food color in a small bowl and pour it over the flour mixture. Add the melted butter and mix until it resembles a coarse meal.
  3. Place a small amount of dough in your palm and place an almond inside. Make a dough ball by rolling it between your palms.
  4. Place them on a cookie sheet and bake in a preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes over 180-degree Celsius.
  5. Let them cool on a wire rack for a while, and roll them over a bed of icing sugar. Lastly serve and enjoy.
